Want to save money and energy while saving our planet?
The Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility’s Energize Delaware programs make it easy. Whether you’re a home owner, business owner, school, nonprofit, church or farm, there is a program to help you save money on your utility bills. Here are just a few:
Home Performance with Energy Star®
Our flagship program for Delaware homeowners, HPwES starts with a discounted energy audit and offers low interest loans and rebates to help make recommended home upgrades. Energy savings are typically higher than the loan payments, making this cash positive from day one.
Now through December 2016, eligible Delaware homeowners can receive a Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Audit for just $100*, thanks to an immediate 75% discount (max. $300). Homeowners also receive the following energy-saving items (up to a $220 value) at no additional cost: light bulbs, showerheads, faucet aerators, pipe insulation and smart power strips - contact for complete details. Energize Delaware Revolving Loan Fund
The Revolving Loan Fund is available for large and small businesses and nonprofits who want to install end-user energy efficiency measures and customer-sited renewable generation and greenhouse gas reduction measures. Designed to be cash positive from day one, savings can lower customers’ bills and reduce the environmental impacts of energy production, delivery and use. Faith Efficiencies Program
In partnership with the Delaware Interfaith Power and Light (DIPL), the Faith Efficiencies program identifies and engages Delaware houses of worship in order to provide affordable, energy-saving solutions including energy audits, remediation and energy education. The mission of the DIPL is to rally faith communities to address causes and impacts of climate change. Program objectives are to lower energy costs, improve building operations, increase comfort levels, provide healthier environments and raise consciousness. Delaware faith communities with annual utility bills under $20,000 are eligible for this program. To download a fact sheet, click HERE.
